This weekend, the NASCAR Xfinity Series takes on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course for some squiggly action.

This will be the 4th time the NXS took on the road course version of the speedway with last year’s winner being AJ Allmendinger.

Race Facts and Info:

Date: Saturday, August 12th
Time: 5:30pm EST
Purse: $1,619,312
TV: USA Network
Distance: 62 Laps (151.22 Miles)

Entry List:

There will be 42 cars for only 38 spots.

– Colin Garrett will be in the #07 for SS Greenlight Racing. Katherine Legge was originally gonna be in the car but had to back due to her sponsors supporting the Writers Strike. Garrett last raced in 2021 for Sam Hunt Racing for 5 races. He will have to qualify in.

– Camden Murphy will be in the #08 for SS Greenlight Racing. Murphy last competed in the NXS in 2019 for 6 races between CHK Racing and RSS Racing. He will have to qualify in.

– AJ Allmendinger will be in the #10 for Kaulig Racing. He is your winner of last year’s race here and will be looking to steal it again.

– Ty Gibbs in the #19 for Joe Gibbs Racing. This will be his 7th start of the 2023 season. He finished 4th at Michigan in his last start.

– Andre Castro in the #34 for Jesse Iwuji Motorsports. Castro last raced at the Chicago street course but wrecked out of the event early on. He will have to qualify in.

– Alex Labbe in the #35 for Emerling-Gase Motorsports. Labbe is a good road course racer and I expect him to finish in the Top 15-20 if everything goes his way. Labbe last raced at Road America but suffered brake failure and hit the tire barriers extremely hard but was unhurt. He will have to qualify in.

– Josh Bilicki in the #36 for DGM Racing. Bilicki is also a really good road course underdog and will be looking to capture another Top 10 finish like Road America. He will have to qualify in.

– Conor Daly in the #44 for Alpha Prime Racing. Daly is an IndyCar Driver and has raced in Cup and Xfinity the last few years. He will have to qualify in.

– Preston Pardus will be in the #50 for Pardus Racing Inc. P$ is a 2 time Mazda Spec Miata champion and had been on the squiggly tracks a bunch this season. He will have to qualify in.

– Brad Perez in the #53 for Emerling-Gase Motorsports. Bread as they call him has done really well on the squigglys as well and is a well known “Squeever”. He will have to qualify in.

– Will Rodgers in the #66 for MBM Motorsports. Rodgers is a well known road course ringer and has tons of experience. He will have to qualify in.

– Miguel Paludo in the #88 for JR Motorsports. This will be Paludo’s 3rd start of the year as he last raced at Chicago and finished 13th in the rain delayed event.

– Ross Chastain in the #91 for DGM Racing. This will be Chastain’s 5th start of the 2023 NXS Season with his last race being Michigan where he finished 7th.
