Hattori Racing Enterprises driver, Tyler Ankrum, won the Arca Menards Series Race at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course on Saturday afternoon.

Ankrum came back from outside the Top 10 after he spun from 3rd and came back through the field and won.

The race was feeled with late race controversy as pole sitter Sean Hingorani spun out Bob Schacht trying to cause a caution after he made contact with VMS teammate Dean Thompson, who he would then wreck intentionally on the last lap and both would be stuck in the sand trap.

Hingorani has since been suspended 1 race for Iowa and has been placed on probation for the rest of the 2023 Arca Menards Series season.

Cautions:

– The #06 of Tim Richmond would have a battery issue on track to bring out the 1st caution of the event.

– The #03 of Casey Carden blew a left front tire and severely damaged the car, bringing out the 2nd caution of the event.

– Competition caution on Lap 22 was the final caution of the race.
